The webmaster manages the content of the agency's entire internet presence. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Planning and Management
Act as an entrepreneur and catalyst, stimulating interest in the internet and in new directions for the internet, within CnAdventure
Develop and maintain a strategic plan for CnAdventure's internet presence, based on Secretarial priorities, policy directions, and management goals
Develop and maintain policies for the agency's presence on the internet, incorporating all relevant laws and regulations
Meet with program area contacts, both as a group and individually, to develop specific plans for their participation in developing the agency's internet site
Coordinate the agency's internet presence with the intranet and with other related systems containing public information
Report on the agency's internet presence as needed/requested
Home Page Development and Maintenance
Develop, research, lay out, write/edit new sections/features for the home page
Search and review links for new categories
Determine placement of all new information submitted by Line designers and travel assistants.
Review requests from other webmasters to link to their sites
Meet with IT staff to design the home page, address and resolve technical problems, and discuss new directions and technology
Fine tune current home page based on feedback from users and monthly statistics
Ensure that all webmaster mail receive timely responses
Monitor home page information, including links, to ensure it remains timely and accurate
Marketing/Outreach
Develop and implement marketing plan for home page
Demonstrate the home page to managers and staff within the agency
Create opportunities to demo the home page to client groups outside of the agency, both for feedback and for public relations
Newsletters: ( needs regular updating ) work with information provider to write newsletters and post on the website in a timely manner. And create an e-newsletter mailing list: keep an updated list of members/institutions who wish to receive their newsletters electronically (with expiration dates) and email them when the newsletters are available online for viewing or download.
Articles: find and post articles of interest to CnAdventure clients.
Qualifications:
Access to computer with internet access and appropriate text, WYSIWYG, and graphics software developing and updating web content.
Knowledge of WYSIWYG or html web page editors, such as Dreamweaver or Adobe GoLive. Willingness to develop expertise in additional Internet technologies such as SQL, CGI and JavaScript.
Ability to create PDF files from other documents and to edit PDF documents as needed (usually requires Acrobat Professional)
Regular (daily) access to email. High Speed Internet access is extremely helpful and highly recommended.
Excellent writing, editing, and graphics skills.
Excellent communications skills.

We are seeking 2-3 outstanding entry-level candidates across a wide range of backgrounds to help us design and execute some of China's most innovative adventure, ecology and culture travel programs. CnAdventure is a challenging place that requires creativity, attention to detail, and solid project management skills. The positions would be based in Beijing. Travel Assistants will work closely in teams to design and execute travel programs for CnAdventure. Travel Assistants will have the opportunity to travel on CnAdventure trips to get a better understanding of what CnAdventure products are like, and in some cases may be called upon to lead trips. Specific related tasks may include, but not limited to:
Conduct primary and secondary research to develop or design CnAdventure programs
Precise understanding requirements of clients and providing customizing travel solutions
Execute operations of a travel program
Travel on CnAdventure programs and assist in program execution
Lead trips of CnAdventure programs
Requirements :
Passionate about China culture and/or China Geography
Undergraduate degree of English major or relative major from a top tier university. Excellent spoken and written English writing skills (Level 6 or above)
Good command of computer skills (Microsoft office skills, Photoshop,etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with and coordinate different functional units(eg, different culture local suppliers, colleagues in different teams and cross-culture clients) cross-cultural environment
Well organized working style, accountable, and customer oriented
Track record of leadership in school activities or previous internships / positions
