The Water-Splashing Festival, New Year's Day by Dai calendar, will be celebrated in the Jinghong City Proper between April 12 and 18. The grandest festival of the Dai is usually held along with activities such as dragon-boat racing, sending off skyrockets, and throwing love pouches. It is believed that everyone being splashed at will have good luck.Besides,we will trek and bike in tropical forests of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Region,.It is warm and green all year round and is most beautiful when you reach the rarely visited villages on our trekking routes. The locals still maintain a slash and burn farming lifestyle. The richer villagers live in wooden huts with tiled roof, while the poorer ones in bamboo huts with thatched roofs. This trip offers you a unique opportunity into the tropical part of Yunnan, highlighting the delights of country life of the ethnic minorities.
DAY-BY-DAY DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1 April 12th, Jinghong (D)
Arrive Jinghong, transfer to hotel in Jinghong
Overnight in 4 star Tai Garden hotel or similar in Jinghong
Day 2 April 13th Jinghong (B/L)
Watch the Traditional Parade of the local people. In the afternoon, transfer to Lancang River to see the competition of the Dragon Boat.

Day 3 April 14th,Jinghong(B/L)
All day participate in the Dai festival celebration in Jinghong, savour the diverse food of Dai people and the celebration show.

All day celebrating the Water-splashing Festival!!!! Get Wet and Fun with local people and all tourists around!!!!

Day 5 April 16th, Jinghong/Damenglong/Jinghong(B/L)
Biking excursion to Damenglong, Enjoy the ethnic houses and bucolic landscapes along the way up there. Take a visit of White Pagoda in Damenglong to appreciate Tibetan buddhism and enjoy traditional BBQ. Overnight in 4 star Tai Garden hotel or similar in Jinghong
Day 6, April 17th, JingHong/Nannuoshan/Jinghong (B/L)
Transfer to Nannuoshan Aini ethnic village, Start trekking the different ethnic villages along the tropical rain forest, ancient tea Garden, indulge yourself into the mysterious ethnic culture. Visit the local people and transfer to Jinghong in the afternoon.

The tour cost includes:
- Land transfer service, meals daily as listed in the itinerary(B-breakfast， L-lunch, D-dinner), service of English-speaking guide, experienced driver, scenic spots admission fee, twin share room in 4-star hotel in big city, the best hotel in small cities or counties, clean carefully-chosen guest house/hostel/or home-stay in village or old town; all domestic flights or trains and local airport taxes if there is in the itinerary.
The tour cost Does not include:
- meals in your free time and on the train/plane, personal travel insurance (very important); transfer/guide/entrance tickets in your free time, extra luggage truck, international flights and related airport taxes, any tips (hotels, restaurants, guide, driver, etc.), photography charges at monasteries/palaces/sites if required, supplementary trips and services not mentioned, supplement cost for those who wants to accommodate on a single basis, any expenses on personal nature not listed above, the extra cost due to the unforeseen events;

- As the exchange rate of CNY to USD is subject to Change, the final price will be calculated according to the Chinese currency CNY. The price in USD dollar is just for your reference.
- We are ready to reserve the e-air ticket from another city to the starting city or from the ending city back to your preferred city if needed.
- Before you pay deposit to book the tour, we haven’t made any reservation yet. The train, flight tickets and the hotel may different from the itinerary listed.
- The visiting order of the scenic spots in the itinerary may change according to the traffic condition and other unforeseen things.
